I stayed at the hotel March 2005, and was pleasantly surprised, being my first visit to France and having read comments from travelers of the "french standards in hotels." I expected an untidy, small cramped room, and uncomfortable bed. However, my room was clean and roomy, the bed was small for a queen, but was comfortable, there was a small fridge which was handy, but I could have used a little more closet space. The bath was clean, good water pressure and hot water supply in the shower. I had a back veiw of typical french buildings but I enjoyed being able to paint the landscape from the mini-balcony. The staff speaks fairly good english and are freindly and helpful. The maid had to be left a note to change the sheets (I stayed 9 days) but freindly and willing to accomodate. The hotel has 24 hour reception desk and a security buzz in at night, which I liked. I didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. It is a little bit of a walk to Old Town and the beach, but I walked it daily and had a wonderful time. It is located between the two main boulevards, Jean Medicin and Gambetta which made it easier to navigate since I seemed to get lost easily on all the small streets. I would have preferred to have been closer to Old Town but I got a great deal on the price and would stay again at this hotel.
