I stayed in this hotel with my friends at time of Monaco F1 Grand Prix 2008 for 4 nights.
We choose this hotel for excellent location in centre and for very close location in reference to railway station.
Staff in reception was friendly and working very fast.
Room at 4th floor was clean, but very small and impractical. For example - if you want open wardrobe you must move your suitcase (no special place for it in room than in front of wardrobe) ...or if friend was sit at writing desk and I wanted to go to bathroom I must exceed the beds. Bathroom was in normal dimensions, clean and bright.
Noise insulation between rooms was bad. We hear almost every moving of neighbours.
Breakfast was continental. Only croissants, ham and cheese and drinks. Service was normal.
Hotel haven't got car parking. It was problem of most Nice-centre hotels. We used public priced parking-house at distance of 700m, because finding parking place in streets of Nice-centre is almost impossible in season.
I recommend this hotel for singles for few nights, because location was very good and staff was OK.

We stayed for three nights and had a great time. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok, too. The location of the hotel was excellent, the shops were just around the corner and there wasn't a long way to go to the beach either. We are definitely coming back next year!

My fiancee and myself were arriving at the hotel at different times. Me 13.00 and he 17.00. I fore-warned the reception staff on arrival and check-in and was assured this would be fine. When my fiance arrived, because they had not registered me on their computer system he was told that I had not arrived and they did not let him check in. As a result my fiance spent 4 hours in a bar opposite the hotel watching for me and checking with the hotel staff every hour just in case he had missed me. All this time I was in my hotel room unaware of what was going on.

Unfortunately I found the hotel reception staff to have no knowledge of customer service skills. They were very straight faced and serious all the time and I felt it bordered on impoliteness. I actually felt quite uncomfortable staying at the hotel.

My room 305 was a very small double room with a very small flat screen TV placed at such a height that any time spent looking at it would I'm sure result in neck pain.

The bathroom was very tiny. The shower cubicle had a dirty shower curtain and mould infested grout between the tiling.

I'm afraid I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. It was definately over-priced too.

We have just returned from a short break and stayed at this hotel. On the whole it was not a bad experience as some previous reviews have shown. The reception staff were courteous but not too helpful- breakfast was a bit of a trial- a small room where the food was available, not a huge choice of food which was not quickly replenished- lack of crockery at times and uncommunicative waiting staff.
Our room was on the fourth floor, adequate in size, lacking drawer space for clothes. Only shower attachment on wall in the bath- no plug in bath, and no shower curtain so the floor quickly became a mini swimming pool.
One lift only taking four people at a squeeze, constantly in use.
There is a charge for leaving the luggage after check out but before departure of 2 euro per case.
The hotel was not noisy, our room had no view, but was adequate.
The best thing was the location, just a step away from Galeries Lafayette, ten minutes walk to the old town and sea front and about ten minutes to the railway station where you can easily catch a train to Monaco or Cannes.
