“Very good, just a bit noisy!”

Nice Home Sweet Home

Jul 8, 2008

Had a great few days here, meet some really nice people. The owner Genevieve was really welcoming and friendly. The room I stayed in was really nice; a bit noisy but I guess that can't be helped given the central location. Homesweethome was really well located: less than 10 minutes to the beaches... I would definitely go back
ps. Big shout out to Anna, the stunning swedish girl who works there! x

“Fantastoc hostel”

Nice Home Sweet Home

May 7, 2008

My mother and I spent 4 night in this delightful hostel which was clean and fantastically located. The beach was a five minute walk away and the train and bus station were also very close. Breakfast was provided and the hostess made a special effort to be welcoming to all guests.
fabulous

“Great value!”

Nice Home Sweet Home

The bed and breakfast was such a great value. When we went, it was actually a lot cheaper than it is now (I guess they must have figured out what a great value it was). The room we got was spacious - there was a queen-sized bed and a full sitting area with couches and chairs. Attached was a little room with a smaller twin-sized bed. Three of us stayed in the room and there was plenty of space for us to sleep comfortably. There were large French windows that opened to the courtyard, which was a nice little touch.

The owner was incredibly nice and gave us a map of Nice. She didn't speak English very well, but it didn't matter. The town is so small that map was very self-explanatory. The location was ok - there was not much going on as far as restaurants and nightlife, but it was a short (10-15 min) walk to the pedestrian walkway with all of the restaurants and beach. It was closer to the train station (where we got the train to Monaco and Marseilles), but that area is definitely shadier. Overall, it was a very good experience and I definitely recommend it.

“Lovely B&B in the heart of Nice”

Nice Home Sweet Home

We stayed here for 3 nights in November for a short break.

Initially it was a little difficult to find as there is no sign outside. Best thing to do is look for the building with the AXA sign on it and then look for the nameplate and door bell by the front door.

The ground floor is the hallway and there are Doctor's surgeries or offices on the first with Home Sweet Home on the second. There is a lift but it stops at the first so its a little difficult with a pram but by no means impossible.

The rooms are spacious, clean and stylishly decorated. There are two shared bathrooms, a communal kitchen with washing/ drying facilities and a dining room.

I believe most rooms have been recently decorated and in fact one was completed whilst we were there.

We had a baby and they were able to provide us with a travel cot for the duration of our stay.

Breakfast is simple but yummy. Bread, jam, tea/ coffee and juice.

The hosts are very friendly and will do everything to try and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Good for backpackers/travellers but equally brilliant for those that dont mind the fact that you dont get your own bathroom.

10 minutes walk from the beach, 10 minutes to the main squares, 10 minutes from the railway station and 2 minutes from the nearest supermarket for supplies.

A gem of a place and if we come this way again then this is where we will stay.

“Amazing B&B”

This is perhaps the best bed and breakfast that I have ever stayed in. The hosts Geneveive and Phillipe are among the most gracious hosts and their apartment is like a million dollar condo. It is strange to imagine that a bed and breakfast would feel like your living in a brand new renovated apartment, but thats exactly the atmosphere you get. The rooms are immaculate and huge, with windows over looking much of the architecture in the surrounding neighbourhood. I would highly recommend these accommodations.
