The guests in this hotel are all decent families and normal people, so it can't be a bad hotel.
Breakfast buffet was very good with croissants, cakes, and the usual ham and cheese rolls with tea and coffe. Orange juice was pretty awful though.
Room was basic, needed painting but had a modern clean bathroom. CNN etc on the flat screen monitor TV, I was happy enough.
No safe in the room and only annoyance was the cleaner who unlocked the room to inspect but didn't actually change the towells etc and left it unlocked. Glad I returned after breakfast to lock it. Towells are changed normally, don't worry.
(My valuables, of course were on my person, always.)
This hotel is by the station, like Trocadero and Interlocken. You should know by now that the station in Nice, Paris, Amsterdam or anywhere else is always the poor area with drunks, street people, thieves and the usual suspects hanging around the station and surrounding roads.
So when booking a hotel, "near to the station" is usually a bad issue, not an advantage. So go a little further away, and pay a little more. You only visit the station on the first and last days.
Having said that, the area was acceptable, but be observant, OK?
Reminds me of a T-shirt I saw in Amsterdam, which read: Amsterdam Centraal - Mind the Crap.
Would recommend this hotel for a short stay.
