We stayed in Hotel Le Chardon Bleu on June 17, 2004 and booked two rooms for one night. This is an owner-operated hotel and therefore the rooms were immacutely clean and well maintained. We usually get rid of the bedspread the first time we walked into any hotels, but in this hotel we got the clean and white afghan instead that looked fresh out of the laundry. The bathroom was very clean as well and the shower worked great. There was no hair-dryer in the bathroom. The rooms are very spacious, more than your average European hotel rooms.
The hotel does not have its own parking. We arrived late that night and there was plenty of parking space on the street where the hotel was. It costed us 1 Euros per car to park from 11pm to 10am the next morning. Morning rate will definitely cost more so if you consider staying in this hotel more than one night, I would suggest you to ask Mr. Kozak, the owner, for the nearest parking place.
The location is really great. It took us 2 minutes to walk to the beach and to the shops at the promenade.
Breakfast was generous. For 6.5 Euro, we got refillable orange juice, coffee, tea, fresh croissant, bread, jam, nutella, butter.
Last but not least, Mr. Kozak is very helpful. We arrived late but was warmly welcomed.
Hotel Le Chardon Blue is truly a gem!
