This is a great hotel, its right in the middle of St Maxime, close to the shops, markets and beach. The hotel had all the amenties you might need, when we arrived the owner was extremely pleasant. He noticed our poor French speaking and spoke in very good English to us instead (thank goodness!). Our room was fairly basic but had everything you need and most importantly after a few glasses of vino the bed was very comfy :)! If there was anything you might need the owner was very accommodating, and there was no paying deposits for usage of safety deposit boxes or hairdryers like you get in more commercial hotels. The town of St Maxime is 'French' and we both felt very safe there. From the harbour you can catch a ferry every 20minutes to St Tropez if you fancy star spotting or big boat oogling. This hotel was very extremely good value for money and would happily go back. Dont be put off by the 2* rating. The only negative point is mainly on behalf of us Brits is the lack of tea making facilities .. thats the only gripe we have!
