This was our third visit in over three years, and we are disappointed.

The first and second vists were a pleasure, but the poorly maintained decor, broken tiles on the balcony and rude waiting staff made for an unpleasent experience.

The hotel needs a long overdue maintence programme and until this happens, either avoid or don't expect to be wowed.

We did put this hotel at the top of our 100 or so Best Western hotels visited in North America and Europe over the last eight years, but now it wouldn't even be average.

The location is ideal for visiting the Cote d'Azur and wider Provence and the hotel reception staff and room maids are second to none. A short walk into town means great access to all facilities and ideal for the short ferry over to St. Tropez.

I will think long and hard before deciding to return.

Seemed pricey for what it is...3 Star at best...public areas exceptionally nice and classy, though even they and the rooms need some tidying up (the odd carpet tear/stain, light fittings broken, sticking patio doors, outside paintwork etc). Rooms OK...nice size and all the expected elements. Handy location however. As ever, didn't get 2 rooms close together even tho we booked 9 months ago...but 2 floors apart? hehe. Food and service very good tho. Overall, just a little more effort needed and more reasonable pricing and I would agree with the other reviews so far.

Very smelly drains in bathrooms, which hosts tried to pin on ecological cleaning products....no way.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a night, we opted for a sea facing room with balcony. Indeed a very good choice, views of the Gulf of St Tropez and blue sea was very nice. A nice small clean hotel, friendly staff and good location. Must admit, bathroom should have been bigger, not very well maintained, cracks on door, no locks, but on the whole a nice and pleasant stay, would go back again to the same hotel. Room with a balcony not very cheap though, about £170 per night, peak season i guess. But very close to the ferry terminal where you can take a ferry to St Tropez for about 12Euros.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in this hotel last week for 3 nights.
We took first floor room with sea view and for the last nigt they moved us to 3rd floor (much better view).
Hotel is very nice, it has great bar, dinning area and lovely terace by the pool. Rooms are average size, nicely decorated and clean.
We did not take brakfast at the hotel (10€ per person).
They had special package for April, stay 3 nights and pay 2 nights (we took this offer and payed only 140 € for 3 nights).

St. Maxime is nice little town (much nicer that St. Tropez), but i perfeer Cannes. Next time we'll stay there.
