My bofriend and I had the pleasure of staying in this little piece of heaven for a night as part of our visit to Nice. We had spent 2 nights in Nice and 1 night at Villa St. Maxime, St Paul de Vence. It was absolutely fabulous. From the moment we arrived til the moment we left we experienced the best hospitality, nicest surroundings and had the most pleasant hosts and staff we have had in all our travels. Ann, John and staff are more than obliging and will do all in their power to make your stay a pleasureable 1 and they did not fail. The bedroom was very spacious, well equiped with toiletries, hairdryer, mini fridge stocked with water. Early evening drinks of your choice are provided to drink on the terrace and when you arrive home a hostess trolley stocked with water,night cap schnapps and chocolates awaits you. Breakfast is provided, cereal, breads, fruit, yogurt etc. which is again delightful. This is truely a great place to stay and we would thoroughly recommend it.

I recently returned from a very relaxing bit of R&R at Villa St Maxime.

The highlight of the property in my view is the pool which is excellent, I spent most of the week by it or in it and can't think of a better way to just zone out and relax.

The village of St Paul is very close by and I highly recommend sitting in the main square Cafe watching the world go by.

A very enjoyable week and I'll look to do the same next year.

Stayed 4 nights at the Villa in a sea view room. Overall it was a great experience.
It was worth the extra for the sea view room- great outdoor covered terrace and view down to the sea.
Ann and John were great hosts- mainly seen and not heard- except when you needed them!
Room 2 was adequate size although not overly large. Good wardrobe space and good bathroom size.
Great large bed.
Highlight was the nightly drinks at 7pm which bought all the guests together to discuss the day's events and swap advice etc. Breakfast was above average- the only down side was the mass produced cheese and orange juice. Great to have a choice of freshly cooked eggs and fresh bread and pastries.
Only downsides were the traffic noise from the fairly busy road below- ie in room with doors open during the day or beside the pool this was faily intrusive. At night this was not a problem. The internal marble flooring of the general foyer areas and stairs etc made it quite noisy mid afternoon and in the morning with other guests etc. Depends on your noise sensitivity.
Great location- easy walk to St Paul de Vence and lots of great restaurants at night

I cant say enough on how beautiful this location was in and out. The house was so clean and comfortable it was like being at home....actually I could have stayed a year or two if allowed. John and Ann were fantastic and great fun.
We stayed in a Seaview room that had a balcony overlooking the pool. You could see the water in the distance but the best view of all was the town of St Paul de Vence. A beautiful walled village a stone's throw away with great art, food, drink and shopping.
The Viila offers breakfast in the morning and happy hour in the evening. Happy hour was great for meeting other guests and getting ideas of places to go each day. There is a small library with books on the area so you can also get ideas from if you dont do enough investigating before you leave home.
There are so many places to visit nearby: two of my favorites were the Villa Rothschild in St Jean Cap Ferrat and a glass factory in Biot. You could spend a month here and not run out of places to go.
Dont tell too many people as there are only six rooms and I will definitely want to go back soon.
