For hotels on our trip to France this year, we relied heavily on Trip Advisor, with great success. But for sure First Place went to the Riboto for the hospitality of the hosts, the comfort of the accommodations, and most especially the food -- the best we had in our two weeks abroad. We echo every positive comment below, this is simply a “must stay” location. It is not a fancy spa with many facilities, but rather like a time to visit good friends in a very nice home in beautiful surroundings and with a great kitchen.

One thing we hadn’t quite appreciated from the prior comments was the prime location of the hotel -- we walked to Les Baux, St. Remy is about a 15 minute drive, Avignon, Arles and the Pont du Gard are less than an hour, and many other top locations are not much farther, even if you take the scenic back routes. What pleasure in taking a day trip to a beautiful area of Provence, then returning to what was for sure going to be a warm welcome and an exceptional meal -- travel doesn’t get much better than this.

Christine and Philippe make you feel very welcome in this lovely hotel. We stayed in one of the troglodyte suites cut into the rock. The room was very nice but the bathroom could do with some updating.

The hotel is a good base from which to go exploring in the region. It wasn't warm enough to swim in the pool when we were there, but I expect it would be superb in the summer.

Christine and Philippe run the most wonderful hotel and we can not rate it highly enough.

It really was like ‘coming home’ with such a warm welcome and you know from the second you talk with the owners, your stay will be relaxing and with no request too much trouble for them.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting nestled below, and in, the rocks! The grounds have been impeccably kept, the perfect pool, wonderful seating areas and fantastic food. We understand Christine’s brother, the chef, used to run a Michelin starred restaurant in the UK, and it shows.

Our room was one of the cave suites – what an experience. Stylishly done out and not at all gimmicky. We had our own seating area, table, sun beds and a great view.

We had three very relaxing and enjoyable nights and can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Even the reviews from fellow travallers did not prepare us fully for our stay at La Riboto De Taven,these people have discovered the secret ingredient of hospitality.Our hosts were at our beck and call,our every need catered for but always with the kind word,the gentle smile,we were in their home their guiding hand always there,unseen,unfelt ,yet not in your face.The meals were exquisite, a performance as if by a great orchestra conducted by three people in tune with the needs of their guests.The menu changes each day,choices were limited,but fear not the daily offering was always scrumptious.On leaving,after a three day stay, we had not taken advantage of a booking offer which was available at that time and it was pointed out to us by Christine and our bill adjusted accordingly and graciously.The whole attitude of the proprieters restores ones faith in innkeepers everywhere, almost !!! Finally not cheap but money well spent
