Very centrally located (on walking distance to the scenic old harbour and the main shopping streets) and - if necessary - very close (less than 100 metres) to metro and tramway.
Twenty minutes walk from main railway station.
Helpful although somewhat strict personnel.
Refreshing breakfast buffet in a superbly decorated room.
More than basic room, recently refurbished, with really good bed. Designer bathroom.
All-in-all : above average conc. price - quality.

Adequate location, but expect to use the Metro to get anywhere interesting. 5 min walk from Metro entrance. Clean but very basic room, with adequate beds, although a little lumpy in places. Free Wifi

Was a bit worried about staying here after reading previous reviews but am glad to say we were delighted and relieved that it exceeded our expectation.
I stayed for 3 nights with my Mother and daughter, had a twin room and cot ready on arrival, room did not have a view of the Port but im not sure any of them did, though this did not bother us.
Location was spot on as we did not want to walk too far at night.
Staff were extremely helpful, with directions and enquiries about area.
The breakfast was lovely with a delicious buffet. For the price this is a fab hotel in a great spot.

I was attacked by bed bugs whilst staying in this budget hotel. I still have scars from the feasting these little critters had on me hat night. We had no choice but to stay a second night, obviously we moved room. I then got a fever due to a reaction to the bites, a doctor was called. He was not very competant at his job, but he was very good at ripping me off. €160 for him to tell me I had a fever and should put a wet face cloth on my forehead. Need I say more???

The lady at reception was extremly nice about the whole situation, but was unable to compensate us without clearance from her manager who was only willing to give us a % 25 discount. Not nearlly enough to make up for my terrible exerience, I fel they should be giving me money.

I am still in ongoing negotiation with the head office of this hotel group in order to get compensated....
