Just returned from a two-week trip of Northern Spain and Provence, and this was by far our favorite hotel and one of our favorite restaurants. For a two-star, it has charm galore, including resident cats, a grandmother who sits in the parlor and helps the staff, a pretty courtyard that you can eat in, and good food. We paid 72 euros for a huge room (No. 2) with a big bath. No, it's not new, but that's part of why we liked it. It is family-run and very European. The breakfast coffee was the best we had anywhere on the trip. Parking can be a problem, but we parked around the corner as instructed, and it didn't bother us. Dining takes time, but we ate in the restaurant twice and enjoyed both meals. This is not a luxury hotel, so if that is what your expectation is, you won't be happy. But we liked it so much that we booked an additional night on our way back from Rousillon on our way back to Barcelona. We will go back to St. Remy, and we will go back to the Auberge.
