“St Remy's In town Jewel”

Hotel Les Ateliers de l'Image

5 of 5 stars
Delaware
Oct 16, 2007

Hotel Les Ateliers - Stayed in a superior room there and it was a multi leveled suite. First floor -small bathroom and couch tv area with brand new plasma tv. Bedroom area with another plasma tv with larger bathroom but the best part was the furnsihed veranda that overlooked some red roofs of St. Remy. There were two pools - one large one in a lovely garden area. The grounds were spacious - surprising for an in town location. They had their own free parking behind the hotel. You need a car to get there but once in town you can walk everywhere. Only problem there was a festival in town when we were there and the staff did not advise us that we would not be able to get back into the town because the streets were blocked. At one point we had to park on a street on the outskirts and walk back into town. St Remy is a precious town - just what a little French town should be. Would return and highly recommend this hotel.

“what a Great Surprise”

Hotel Les Ateliers de l'Image

Aug 31, 2007

After staying Aix en Provence for a night, staying in St Remy was brilliant. What a gem of a hotel, it is quite deceiving thinking that it is a small hotel from the street but behind the facade is a mini resort, with swimming pool, a garden area. Great service with the only thing they good add is a minibar to store all those wonderful french cuisines like chocolates especially during summer.

“Fantastic pool and garden”

This hotel is a charming, contemporary change from traditional places--but it is not pretentious or kitschy in its updates. Price was high (we booked two nights in the busiest week of August). But we got a large room with a huge bathroom, including a generous-sized tub with plenty of hot water. Our view was onto the gardens, exquisite and very quiet. This place was an oasis in a town that was a little more touristy than we anticipated. I would come back to enjoy the hotel itself. Also, breakfast was not included in our room price...at 19 Euros a person, it was expensive (but good). The pool is non-chlorinated and is relaxing and fresh.
Coolest thing about this place is the printed A-Z guide to the hotel in each room, very funny and slightly sarcastic.

“Overpriced”

Hotel Les Ateliers de l'Image

The hotel is a nice hotel with a nice pool and garden. The price was extremely high considering that the hotel was not something exeptional. The garden was not kept. The pool area was to crowdet (not possible to get sunbeds). The room (stayed in a suite) was very used i.e. the B&O front fell off when used. The bathroom needed to be updated. The pricelevel compared to the standards of the hotel were not compelling.

“Fantastic pool and sushi”

Hotel Les Ateliers de l'Image

Jul 30, 2007

We stayed here for 5 days in a suite with our 2 young children. We loved the hotel, the pool, the grounds (there is even a maze!) and the breakfasts (fantastic). Sushi is delicious and can be eaten on the terrace in the evening. Our only problems were that there is no food for children in the evening although there is a brasserie literally next door! There was no fridge in the room, and both our children drink milk all the time (minor point). Also, the suite was a junior suite and the lightening although wonderful made it hard to keep the lower bedroom in darkness for the children to sleep whilst we were upstairs- no real problem as we just spent the evening on our balcony. The staff are wonderful and very very well trained and helpful. St Remy is delightful.
