This was our first hotel in St Remy...we'd only booked a couple of nights but we were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms are modern,
the staff was young and geared towards the active traveler...great breakfasts...good pool. This was a hotel that catered to the bicycling crowd...tours would spend a night here while covering this part of Provence. The price seems to have increased over what we originally paid (about $180 back in 2000)...I would attribute it all to the change in value against the dollar except that Vallruges has not gone up in price nearly as much (we paid $480/night including a great four course dinner for two, and a gourmet breakfast). Nevertheless, Les Ateliers de L'Image was a wonderful hotel that served as our base for exploring all of the surrounding area (including the Pont du Gard, Avignon...Arles and Les Baux (it was car friendly...can't remember if they charged for parking, but it was available).

We just got back from Provence. Hotel Les Atelliers de L'image is probably one of the best Hotels yet we have stayed in France. Luxury but not overpriced. Perfect location - main street of St. Remy.
Huge beautiful garden, very calm and serene. Our room was great . . . very elegantly decorated with a touch of comfort. Our room was very spacious with a private terrace. The bathroom has a tub and seperate shower. The service was great . . . from check in to check out, the service was impeccable -- very friendly and professional staff. Definitely our fav. Hotel in Provence.

Gorgeous hotel. Grounds and swimming pool area really wonderful. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, loads of choice, all fresh and healthy. Our room wasn't overlooking the gardens, but we had a very charming view over rooftops. Our room wasn't huge by any means, and the bathroom was really quite small, but it was designed well. The bar area was lovely, with a movie screen where they show old black and white films apparently It didn't seem to be used by anyone whilst we were there. Perhaps in the winter months it is used more. We booked with hotels.com and even though £120 a night isn't everyone's idea of a bargain, for the quality of the hotel and the location it was worth it. We didn't eat in the restaurant at night as there are so many to choose from in the town, but the idea of sushi after so much rich provencal food was quite appealing. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel.

We booked this hotel on the strength of tripadvisor ratings and it surpassed our expectations. The location is brilliant - a bustling street in the centre of one of the most lovely small towns in Provence, yet only ten minutes walk away from idyllic countryside walks. Step through the front door and you are in a haven of peace and tranquillity. Our room was in the Provence wing - a huge comfortable bed, lovely private terrace overlooking the peaceful gardens, artlessly perfect minimalist decor.

Staff perfectly complemented the ambiance of the hotel - relaxed, helpful, friendly.

Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at.

We couldn't find the rooms with terrace on any of the hotel booking web sites, so phoned the hotel direct ---. Not only did they have a room with terrace available but they discounted it by 10% for booking early. At 300 euros per night, this was a bargain.
