We loved this hotel. what a beautiful setting! The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. It is a little off the main drag (such as it is!!) in St. Remy but easy walking to restaurants and town. Woudl definitly stay here again.

We just returned from a trip throughout France and out of all the accommodations Hotel sous les Figuiers was our best hotel of the trip.
The room was extremely clean and roomy, the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom and shower were equally impressive, but the best feature was the front porch with chairs and a table. With the nice weather it was just awesome. The grounds were also manicured, everything is done correctly and walking distance to town-2 minutes.
Do not miss breakfast, homemade apple sauce and jams.
We will return to France and our stay will revolve around St-Remy next time.
We made Sous les Figuiers our base for our 5-day stay in Provence. The location is perfect for visiting the region. It was wonderful to come back to our lovely room and sit on the "terrasse" with a bottle of wine and just relax.
We wanted a quiet, restful home base for touring, and we certainly found it at Sous les Figuiers. Here are just some of the advantages of staying here: Short walking distance to everything in town; Secure premises (locked gate after 9:00 pm); Extremely friendly & helpful staff; Beautiful courtyard at our doorstep; Peace & quiet after a long day of touring; Computer with internet access for guests' use in the lounge. The room was perhaps small by "American" standards, but the very large terrace more than made up for it.
The entire staff could not have been more accommodating with everything from directions to restaurant suggestions and poolside drinks. We didn't take advantage of breakfast; instead we had coffee delivered to our terrace each morning. We also enjoyed socializing with other guests around the pool while enjoying some wine. Wonderful!
A treasure in the heart of Provence!
We recently visited Hotel Sous Les Figuiers and were very pleased with the overall quality of the experience. The staff are very efficient and helpful, the hotel is spotlessly clean, nicely decorate, and the location is extremely convenient-- in walking distance of most St-Remy and its delicious restaurants. The pool must be a delight in the summer, we looked at it longingly although it was too cold to go in.
Some people have complained about the breakfast. I'm 37 and health-conscious, and I liked it, although my parents who are 'bacon & eggs' types thought it was a little 'too healthy.' Breakfast consisted of your choice of coffee, hot chocolate or tea, served with fresh fruit of the season, croissants & bread with jam, and yogurt or cheese. For 11 euros the price was really not too high, its about right-- there was ample bread, and we paid twice as much in Lyon for breakfast at the Bocuse hotel.
The only cons of the experience perhaps is that the mattresses are quite firm, so if you're not used to that, then you might be uncomfortable. Then again, the hotel's price is also right, so while older generations might long for a pillow-top on that mattress, you really can't complain!
This place was wonderful!!! The setting, room, & location all met or exceeded my expectations. I recommend paying a little more for the roomier, quieter back rooms with porches. We were in room 4, spacious & artfully decorated (true Provencal - stylish rustic), with a large bathroom. It's an easy 3 minute walk to the center of town & the hotel has secure parking. The hosts, Kups & Juanito, were wonderful - helpful & friendly when you needed. The breakfast was great. Yes, you could get a less expensive one in town, but the convenience, quality & atmosphere of eating at the hotel (or the option of your room) was certainly worth it's price for us. I highly recommend this hotel.
