La Residence is a well-kept, well-located hotel. While there's nothing extraordinary about it, there's nothing terrible to be said, and some nice perks include telephone and TV in room, as well as a location on a main pedestrian artery convenient for sightseeing. Also, free Internet access is available in the lobby.

We stayed there for one night, in a nice clean room. There's not much to say, just that it's in the city center, near everything.
The frontdesk should be more helpful and kind.

After reading the reveiws on trip advisor we booked the hotel for 2 nights. The location is perfect. The hotel is a very good 3 star hotel. It should be remembered that this is 3 stars. We got exactly what we expected-a clean, well run hotel, close to the train station, shopping, the old city, and many restaurants. Lyon is a wonderful city and the hotel, on the pedestrian street, is perfect for exploring all the city has to offer.

My little room was nice and I especially loved the bath/shower.

The lobby is not too flash--dark leather sofas...so 1988! But the internet was good, and free.

The main problem with Residence is the location--it is right on the main pedestrian street near clubs. I heard drunk people screaming all night, and kids congregating just below at all other times.
