Room small but clean with aircon and TV. Good sized bathroom with lovely deep bath and separate toilet. Free wifi access in rooms. Staff friendly. Convenient location to main sites.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in La Residence while on vacation and found the location to be very convenient! It's between two metro stops and 1 block from a large piazza with good bus transportation. We did not have the hotel breakfast, but instead ate breakfast in nearby cafes. The hotel staff were helpful, and the free computer with Internet service in the lobby was a great benefit. The room was clean and spacious. We would definately return and highly recommend it!

Hotel is in a great location. Easy to walk to everywhere you want to see. Room was clean and a nice size. Cable TV was great as was wireless internet. Front desk was helpful and in English. The only thing that was negative was our room smelling like smoke. It was a non smoking room, but the bathroom had definately been smoked in recently.

We (married couple, 50+) stayed 2 nights in mid-May. Residence met all our expectations and exceeded some others, particularly the spaciousness of our room at this price.
Great location at the epicenter of what we felt were 3 separate central Lyons, each with a distinct feel but all within walking distance-- well, walking distance to the funicular that gets you to the top of Vieux Lyon--which you must do.
As mentioned by others, front desk staff are not particularly "gushy" but certainly efficient and informative. Decent size elevator (also lovely staircase if you prefer).
We can't think of a category of traveller that wouldn't find value in this hotel given its price, location and amenities.
