We spent Good Friday in Lyon and selected this hotel because of the locaion and did not regret it. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood and every meal in Lyon was worth the trip in itself. We had lunch at the Cafe Leffe near the fountain Bartholdi on the square in front of the Hotel de Ville and noticed a widely varied menu. Dinner was at Leon de Lyon and it was great food and service too. But the hotel..odd swimming pool in the dining area that we did not use. Clean rooms and spotless, modern bathrooms. We had a Corbeille room (#307) and it was of a generous size and very quiet as the only window opened to an interior courtyard. Not much natural light but it was a snowy weekend anyway. Reception was friendly, spoke English and helpful with dining reservations. This location is an easy walking distance from the old town across the river and also to the opera and Beau Arts Museum. Very good value for 120 Euros booked on-line. Great experience!
