When I stayed: July 2003, 9 days while commuting to Waldorf .
Room: Efficient, clean, bright, cheery. With bath (shower). Other larger rooms are available. Quite cool even on very hot days due to the elevation and distance from the city.
Bed: Double, very comfortable
Breakfast included: continental, very good, enough variety even with the same choices I went every day.
Has Bier garten and restaurant well known locally. Traditional German food again very good with good frendly service.
Staff: Only a little English spoken, enough to get directions and make requests. I spoke less German!
Close to: The countryside!, Max Plank institute, hiking and cross country skiing, wildlife are Fantastic!
Far from: Heidelberg. There is public transportation: bus but I had a rental car. The winding roads could be an issue in bad weather but they were wonderful driving and quite scenic. It is possible to hike to Hiedelberg and I did so twice.
Don't stay here if you abhor quiet, fresh air and food.
