Love this hotel. I'd come back in a second. Clean, neat and lovely. Short walk/20 mins into the town and shopping area. Service is great Marriott service. Try and get a club room as the access to the lounge means hot apps and drinks. We used it and loved it.

Great location by the river within walking distance or 4 tram stops to the centre. Rooms were very nice with river view. Hotel car park was fine but a little overpriced. Hotel has pool and fitness centre. Good location if you don't need to be right downtown. Wifi available at a cost per hour or day which again was overpriced.

If you need to do laundry, ask at reception as there is a very good laundry near Bismarck Platz. For 7 euros we left our laundry and 2 hours later it was all done.

Travelled to Germany in May for an extended Pentecostal weekend and stayed three nights at the Marriott in Heidelberg. Agree with most of the previous reviews, not much to add. The hotel has a lovely location by the river, we got a nice room with a great bed, but I was greatly disappointed with the polyester bed linen. Staff were very friendly and breakfast buffet excellent. Must admit I stayed at the Hotel InterContinental in Frankfurt the first two nights of my trip and was so pleased with it, the Marriott suffered somewhat in comparison.

If you are traveling through heidelberg and need a great place to stay, please consider the Heidelberg Marriott. I had the most pleasant experience at this hotel. The customer service was excellent! The Marriott is very close to downtown heidelberg and all the shops. Within two miles is a beautiful castle to visit with a lot of history. Restaurants are close by as well as the euro rail.
