I'm a little surprized of the last review, but it just goes to show how two people can have totally different opinions on the same place. The only bad things I can say is that the decor has probably not been updated since the 70's, and there is not an elevator (we stayed on the 4th floor). As far as the goods go...all the colums, ceilings, interior doors, counters, etc were hand carved wood. The detail work was incredible! The staff was so attentive both at breakfast and at dinner. Our room faced the street, but the sound-proof windows made it completely quiet at night. Our bathroom was floor to ceiling marble with two sinks. We went with another couple who stayed in the back building, so they had their own patio and view of the koi pond. It's a 10 min walk downhill to the city center, and we took the subway/train back to the hotel each time we went exploring. We had dinner at the hotel the last night we were there. The dinner was very pricey, but all four of us agreed that the food and the recommended choice of wine were unbeatable. If you want a hotel full of ammenities, then this isn't the choice for you, but if you looking for something to give you the feel of Germany, and a helpful staff, then I would highly recommend the Flair Wortz Hotel.
By the way...the Mercedes Museum was a wonderful experience.
