We sent out emails to several hotels and guesthouses, and sort of picked this one randomly out of the responses. We're very glad we did. It's a quiet location just a few minutes out of town, with a wonderful mountain view, a stream, a river, meadows. Our kids and the dog loved walking down the road to visit the horses and cows. Lubomir, the owner, was really helpful. He provided us with a discount card for the area, and recommended several sites to see and the best time of day to see them. He even provided us with a weather report, since we thought we might have to leave the dog in the car on one of our excursions.
All the meals were excellent. We usually don't eat dinner at our hotels more than once, but ate here every night. The restaurant prepared meals for the kids anyway they wanted it. My kids said this place served the best chicken they ever had! Breakfast was also great, with plenty of meats, cheeses, etc. Meals were outside if weather permitted, and the grounds were lovely and well-tended. Kids were allowed to explore or start a game of soccer while parents relaxed on the terrace.
The family room consisted of an entryway, a bathroom, two bedrooms and one long balcony with chairs and table. Both bedrooms had tv, desks, wardrobes. The entryway had a table and chair. All as represented on the website photos.
The guests during our stay were from the US, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, Japan, Austria. Lubomir spoke at least three languages. All in all, a great visit.
