Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in this very nice hotel. We were given a room in the annex behind the main hotel which was basic but very clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. The room had a door opening out onto a little patio area with table and chairs and a view to both castles. For breakfast there was museli, cheese, cold meats and lovely fresh rolls as well as a nice big pot of tea brought to our table. The breakfast room was busy as there was a (very quiet) school tour staying, we were surprised to find a table reserved for us with a view to Neuchswanstein castle...an unforgettable breakfast! The village is very quiet an night, the restaurants do not stay open late. From the hotel it is a very enjoyable one hours drive via Austria to the Zugspitzebahn and the Eibsee cablecar which I would highly reccomend, the drive to Llinderhof castle is also very pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Garni Schlossblick for 1 night in a double room.

We got to choose our room from two: One was small but with a view, the other was larger but no view. However, when we checked them out, neither had a view of the castle so we took the larger one.

The bed was comfy, the bathroom spacious - but the shower was strange. It did not sit in its cradle properly and could not be removed, either, so showers were uncomfortable and impractical. Also, water got all over the floor no matter what. There was no TV in the room, which we found a little odd.

Location was excellent, breakfast was good, although not as extensive as some we had whilst in Europe. The check-in lady was very pleasant and spoke wonderful English. We found a little vending machine squirrelled away in the basement that sold most soft drinks and beer.

There was adequate parking and the option to leave your luggage in the TV room after checking out.

Stayed 1 night at this hotel (motel/ B&B) during our 3 week honeymoon in Europe. Booked thru hohenschwangau.de website, paid 59 Euro for B/B. Not the easiest place to find with if you arrive late at night (like us). Keys were picked up at the nearby hotel (real hotel but much pricer ) and were only pointed a "general direction" of where it was. It was actually very close by but again, late at night, and not much road lights, old castle town... (security wise, is a very safe town).

Overall was a good stay, the town itself is safe though I was not too excited about the "ground level" room with a HUGE patio door that access to the public area, and the street. But for a B/B place, this is very good. Very clean also. The bed(s) are those typical "put together twin(s)" = KING. If your budget is around 60Euro, this is definitely recommended.

This hotel was in a perfect location for both the castles and Alpsee lake. We had an ensuite double room with a balcony and a view of neuschwanstein castle. The room had quite old furniture and bathroom but was very clean and large. The only problem we had was that the hotel was closed between 12 and 3pm everyday and we arrived at about 1pm but the side door was open so you can leave your bags in the room opposite reception or, as we did, at the tourist information centre down the road. Breakfast was simple- bread, ham/cheese, butter/jams, eggs and coffee/tea/juice. Staff were a little abrupt but overall the stay was trouble free and pleasant.
