We stayed at the hotel in early March and the location was fantastic! As we walked back to the hotel after having dinner in town, we could see both castles clearly. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good with a broad selection. The staff spoke English and were extremely friendly. Recommend highly!

Great location and good value.

Well worth consideration for short stays to take in the castles which are a short walk away. The room was comforatable, and we had access to the shared balcony which has a view of Neuschwanstein Castle.

Staff were friendly and the breakfast good (usual fare of cold meats, cheese and cereal).

This hotel was great for our first night in Germany. We arrived from the flight into Munich and were very tired. Dropped off the bags and had time to do both Castles before taking an afternoon nap. The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable. You cant beat the price and location if you are looking for a place to stay near the Castles. Just remember most restaurants in town close early as not many people actually stay in Hohenschwangau itself. I would stay here again if I were to return. One funny thing a heard of cows was driven through the center of town in the morning, very neat to see!

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in this very nice hotel. We were given a room in the annex behind the main hotel which was basic but very clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. The room had a door opening out onto a little patio area with table and chairs and a view to both castles. For breakfast there was museli, cheese, cold meats and lovely fresh rolls as well as a nice big pot of tea brought to our table. The breakfast room was busy as there was a (very quiet) school tour staying, we were surprised to find a table reserved for us with a view to Neuchswanstein castle...an unforgettable breakfast! The village is very quiet an night, the restaurants do not stay open late. From the hotel it is a very enjoyable one hours drive via Austria to the Zugspitzebahn and the Eibsee cablecar which I would highly reccomend, the drive to Llinderhof castle is also very pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel.
