My room was only 165 Euro but I was upgraded to a suite (I didn't know this until I stepped into my room...!). So naturally I am very happy with this hotel!

Clean, comfortable room and bathroom. Great staff - all reception staff spoke English also. The lunch buffet was lovely with attentive staff.

Location is great - cross the road out of the main central station entrance and opposite to the right is the road the hotel is on. Ignore the casino and 'sexy land' lapdancing club, and the location is fine!! Lots of people around so fine for lone travellers.

i've been there for a week sharing a twin room with my co-worker.
Good points: the room was spacious with 2 chairs and a small table, the location close to the station and walking distance from the very centre, the bed very comfortable, bathroom nice and spacious.
Bad points: i didn't like the furniture (quite dated... '70s style). we had to pay extra €15 for 1 day internet connection, the horrible surrounding area (a strip club next door), the pool was quite small (but fortunately also quite desert!).
the breakfast wasn't included, they asked extra €9 for it. better the nearby station, which had plenty of choice!

Good hotel, but location is terrible - it is in the area of main train station. If we ever come back to Munich, we would never stay in that area again. Besides that it is seedy (sex shops on every corner), it is like a little Istambul. I have no problem with turkish people, but I was not going to Istambul, I was going to Munich, Germany. Many of them do not use deodorant and you can smell it far away. The area is very dirty (the rest of Munich is very clean). Our breakfast was not included. The price is 19 Euro per person. At current conversion rate it is $25.

In looking at the publicity for the hotel, I did wonder why it was not located on the streetfront - given the general location (which is pretty seedy), this is understandable but it was good that it was only a couple of minutes away from Munich Hauptbahnhof.
The hotel facilities were good on the whole - nice spaced rooms but the bathrooms appeared spartan compared to e.g. Maritim Frankfurt which had a full set of amenities. Here, you either had to request them or they were not provided at all. Perhaps this reflects the slightly different markets. Did not have time to try the pool but it looked all right. Worst thing about the hotel were the lifts - too small, too slow and in need of repair replacement !
Breakfast was included in my rate and was good - the selection was very good and you are not left wanting for anything. Included in the cold meats are "Bavarian Specialities" which seemed to consist of liverwurst. Service varied with an efficient and friendly staff one morning to one who could not understand my order for Earl Grey Tea and gave me Asian Green Tea instead.
