very disappointing. i was expecting a smart GW hotel up to international business standards and got a run down awkward sleazy hotel in a dodgy area. it was close to the HBf station, but not that close; still a 10 minute walk with cases past the sex shops and kebab vendors.

the unhelpful step on the way in was annoying which was followed by several more steps after getting out of the lift. all a bit fawlty towers.

the tired furniture cheap bathroom and lack of air-con all gave this a down market feel quite out of line with what i expect from GW.

there was an old hotel smell in the corridors and a particularly unpleasant smell in the bathroom.

the reception was efficiient and helpful but the infrastrucuture was all wrong.

all in all it did the job but it felt cheap (although not priced cheaply) and is not worthy of GW or the impression given from th e marketing. it needs a good overhaul

Although in an area of small Turkish Bars and stores, the street is fairly quiet, and only 10 minutes walk from the Main Railway Station/Metro stops, and 25 minutes walk from the Marienplatz area.
Our room was fairly small and basic, but clean and well maintained. Bathroom was small, but clean and fine for our purposes. The opening window looked out onto the small courtyard at the rear and the room was quiet and comfortable. No Air conditioning, though we did not need it at the time of the visit.

The breakfast was excellent with great selection of hot and cold buffet foods, and attentive friendly service from the staff, most of whom spoke good English.

We thought this an ideal hotel, in good location, and good value for a 3 star rating, and would certainly use it again.

Although the neighborhood inititlally seemed a bit weary - it was actually frinedly and safe. Greate grocery stores nearby. Easy walk to down town, restaurants, laundry, train, etc. The rooms were small but clean. No air cinditioning though (although unnecesary during our stay). we would comae again.

This hotel has a good location (walking distance from the old town) and hotel is clean, good breakfast, ver good BW hotel standard. I would recommend for anybody
