I travel every week worldwide on business and offer a fair evaluation of this hotel. I do not work for this hotel or chain.
The staff is outstanding. They speak fluent english and are very helpful. The breakfast is good with a wide assortment of "German" cereals, eggs, fruit, bread, and drinks.
The location is within walking distance of the central train station ONLY if you have light luggage. If you are pulling big bags, get a cab from the train station. The local train station is also convenient to walk.
CAUTION: THIS HOTEL HAS NO AIR CONDITIONING.
If you need a cool, comfortable summer temperature in your room, then stay somewhere else. The rooms are very hot in the summer but comfortable in the fall. The rooms are standard size with a large closet area. The hotel offers lower prices because they have to in order to compete with the several other hotels within 1 mile. There are also three excellent restaurants directly behind the hotel.

My family and I spent 3 nights here in April 2007 and just loved it. The front desk staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The room were big, clean and modern. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were hude with feather down. It is located about a 10 minute walk from the main train station and just around the corner from the park where they hold the Oktoberfest. We were away for six weeks and this hotel had the best breakfast by far and it changed each day. If you can afford this hotel do it.

We stayed here only one night but would stay here again and again if we went back to Munich. We were upgraded for free to a junior suite. I have not stayed in an American Hotel with this much room. We had a large TV, a sitting area, huge closets, whole wall window, and the largest bathroom I have ever seen in a chain hotel. (It was a ridiculous amount of room). After traveling throughout Europe for 13 days in European size hotel rooms I thought I had gone to heaven!

The bedding was comfortable, the room was fully stocked, and the front desk was SSSOOOOOO helpful! The front desk clerk helped with cab service, directions to the bank, and directions to the E-phone…always with a smile. The hotel area is very quiet.

The hotel is just steps away from the train station but it is a distance from the pedestrian zones. About a 45 minute walk, however it is just a short taxi ride from the hotel to the shopping areas. It’s worth the ride.

Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options. But, during check out the day clerk did not give us our papers in our room box. Only bummer. Who cares this was an awesome stay. Will stay again!

A good place to stay for a visit to Munich. Hotel is within a resonable walking distance of two train stations (5 min to Hackerbruke, 15min to the Main Station). Can be difficult to find on foot the first time if you are not used to the area, be sure to have good directions. It is also not very far from the main centre of Munich, Marienplatz, a 20 min walk.

Hotel itself was very pleasant, although showing a little bit of wear on the edges, some renovations could be used. Room was very clean and spacious, with a very large bathroom including a bathtub. Reception was very courteous and helpful and spoke excellent english. All you can eat breakfast buffet was very good for a hungry traveler, although somewhat pricey at 16 euros per person. Our only issue was with the phones at the hotel, for which we were charged per use even when making collect calls. It was also difficult for people to reach us at the hotel as their automated switchboard was not easy to use.
