I would highly recommend the Eden Hotel Wolff for travelers in Munich. We had a wonderful experience there with the staff. The people working reception and the concierge, Maximillian, were extremely helpful. They helped us to plan excursions and find stores where we could purchase necessities for our toddler (diapers, milk, etc). They all spoke English, which was very helpful when trying to handle difficult situations like losing our stroller and forgetting items on the airplane. Maximillian, the concierge, called the airline and was able to locate our lost items. Everyone went out of their way to help us feel welcome and learn to navigate the city.
In addition, the accommodations were very comfortable and had the traditional character that we were looking for. The rooms were decorated nicely, we slept very well on the fluffy beds, the bathrooms were well-equipped and clean, and the included breakfast buffet was wonderful. The buffet included hot and cold items and traditional Bavarian fare. The hotel was very accommodating to children. They provided a crib, at no cost, each night and had child seats at the restaurant.
The stay was a bit pricey, but definitely worth every penny! I would highly recommend this hotel for romantic and family stays. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the Marienplatz and is across the street from the Hauptbahnhof where you can catch any number of trains to various locations in Munich. I cannot recommend this hotel more!
