Just spent a wonderful 3 nights in this hotel. Asked for a suite but was upgraded to maisonette.

Very central, staff very friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Exquisit for a long weekend in February. The hotel is set on a quiet street but within walking distance of Marienplatz, and around the corner from 2 taxi stands, shopping and restaurants. It's also an easy walk to the Train station (through a somewhat seedy section of town) from the hotel. The room is a good size, with a nice size bathroom. The staff was great! very helpful in arranging for a car rental and giving us all sorts of information. They all spoke perfect English. The breakfast is pretty good too, especially on weekends when it runs until 2pm. They have some nice little quirks; shoe shine machines on the floors, a stocked wine fridge in the lobby for you to purchase your own bottle, a small bar (although I rarely saw anyone using it), snacks set out at the front desk (donuts, fruit), and what looked like a nice little patio. Don't expect a large, five star hotel and you'll be just fine. Only thing, I didn't see a safe in our room.

While you're in Munich, make sure you check out Hoffbrauhaus!! We also went to Lowenbraukeller, but it wasn't as welcoming as some of the other ones. Viktualmarkt is a must, and Fussen was beautiful as well! Enjoy!

Stayed over the Christmas period, excellent small-ish hotel. Very friendly staff, front desk always polite and helpful, breakfast staff also good, by breakfast day 2 they knew what you required drinks wise. Good selection of hot and cold food , always plenty available and quickly restocked. Located 1 min from U-Bahn station, 1 stop to the centre or 5-10 mins walk max. Stayed in their Maisonette type room, gave plenty of space for 2 adults and young son. Main bed upstairs, downstairs was seperate toilet / bathroom..lounge area, table, chairs, sofa, cabinet / TV, extra bed for child and still plenty of room + loads of wardrobe space. Excellent price booked direct with hotel, even cheaper than price quoted on their website, including their excellent breakfast..Plenty to see and do in Munich, transport is a doddle and cheap, recommend a trip to Garmisch on the train for a day out, lovely ski type resort, great views and some snow for christmas on the mountains.

Will most likely be visiting Munich again in the future and will seriously consider the Hotel Exquisit, very good value.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Underwhelmed by lack of amenities and quality level. Travelling for business, disappointed having previewed all the positive comments posted. Room was dark both in carpeting and lack of adequate lighting. Lack of electrical outlets for computer & cell phone charging so had to unplug lamps. NO Wi-Fi or data ports for internet access. Bathroom very basic: no ablutions, only a tube of all purpose, soap/shampoo/body wash in small shower-no tub. Four star hotels usually have shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouthwash, etc. NO air conditioning, so didn't sleep the first few nights due to the hot room. Pillows have no support and had to ask for additional (mushy) pillow and second sheet as there was only the bottom mattress covered. Halls smelled of smoke (& some other vaguely unpleasant odor - ?sewer) and the restuarant's non-smoking area... really isn't. No fitness facility. So, for tourist, this is an okay hotel, but should not consider this a 4 star hotel worthy of business travellers
