The Mark Hotel is a decent hotel. It's located near the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The hotel is located on street with a couple youth hostels, small hotels, small ethnic grocery shops, and a few places to eat. There's a pizza stand on the corner and Italian restaurant on this street. If you need to find a large grocery store, you can find one in the basement of Hertie's department store (located across the street from Hauptbahnhof)
The hotel lobby and hallways to the rooms are not impressive. The actual rooms and dinning area for breakfast are nice. As a nice perk, there is one PC with free Internet access in the lobby. The hotel staff was friendly.
The hotel room is nice/clean and good size (European standards). The room came with a little refrigerator, small safe, 8 hangers in the closet, and comfortable bed. The bathroom is a bit awkward since it's small and the shower stall is very cramped.
Breakfast is included with your room. The hotel breakfast dinning area was clean and the dinning staff was friendly. Breakfast was severed buffet style consisting of coffee, orange juice, milk, cereal, cold cuts, croissant, small Bavarian pretzels, breads, yogurt, fruits, scramble eggs, soft boiled eggs, cheeses, and a few other items.
I would recommend staying at the Mark Hotel.
