Excellent location, right beside all the sights. Room very nice but very small. Also, we stayed on the second floor at front of hotel so very noisy at night with windows open. Hotel is right between a McDonalds and BurgerKing restaurant so lots of people around eating outside. No air conditioning so you have to have windows open in hot weather. However, very clean room, cleaned every day, breakfast excellent. Would recommend this hotel, however, if you are planning on an early night then you may find it a little noisy outside if you have the windows open.

My heart sank at the entrance: the hotel is sandwiched between a McDonalds and a Burger King and it looks as if all the rooms overlook the noisy street (especially saturday night), but wait.... once inside there are pleasant quiet rooms at the back and an excellent breakfast. Nice shower room and friendly service. My only complaint was the bedding seemed to be polysterene sheets and a massive quilted duvet, so it was either too hot or too cold!

This hotel is perfect for a short break right in the middle of Munich. Situated 50m from the Tal exit of Marienplatz which has excellent S-Bahn connections to the airport. Very clean throughout, staff very friendly, excellent breakfast and room very comfortable and quiet (we were at the back). Near to all main attractions, bars and restaurants (excellent Indian - turn right from hotel exit then first right and its 20m away). Would recommend this place highly.

Myself, husband and 2 teenage daughters stayed in the Schlicker this July. Location absolutely fantastic. Right beside U-bahn and S-Bahn on Marienplatz. The staff couldn't be nicer. We stayed 2 nights then travelled around Germany and came back for another 3 nights. They stored our luggage for us for the days we were absent and had them delivered to our rooms on return.

The only slight problem I had was the noise at the front of the Hotel, there is a beer hall opposite so can be a bit noisy. However my teenagers didn't mind so myself and husband changed to rooms at back of Hotel. The rooms at back are a bit more expensive but worth the peace and quiet. The breakfast room was nice stayed open till about 10.30, and their was varied buffet. (continental style). Would definitely go back to this hotel.
