As a first time traveler to Germany, I was semi-unsure of what to expect. However, having booked reservations at Hotel Kriemhild with previous guests, I knew we were in good hands. Eric and his family were extremely helpful and curteous...Eric even helped out with one of our fellow travelers who developed a severe case of food poisoning! The hotel was extremely clean and the staff friendly. Each morning there is a delicious breakfast spread that can feed even the most hungry of travelers. Breakfast choices included cereal, eggs, various choices of breads, cheeses, meats, fruits and more.

Eric's team was always there to help with directions and other typicaly tourist questions. Throughout our stay, we had a group of 9 guests and we were accomodated quite nicely and without issue. We even had to switch rooms one night and Eric's team was kind enough to move our luggage and other items for us. In addition, we checked in upon arrival which was much earlier than the standard check-in time. We were met with a warm greeting and keys to our rooms.

If you are planning a trip to Munich, I highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Kriemhild. The location is perfect, being a short tram ride (10-15 minutes) from the crowded city center, yet close enough to see all of the attractions. There is even a local Bier Garten down Gunterstrassen that serves great food and tasty bier! If you're lucky, you might even get to meet Bono as he enjoys a leisurely nap on the porch!

Kudos to Eric's team and family for making it a great stay. We will definitely come back!!

My husband, his guide dog, and I recently stayed at the Hotel Kriemhild for 4 days based on what we read in the Trip Advisor. We found it to be above our expectations. It was roomy, spotlessly clean, up to date, and in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfasts were satisfying with good coffee. We enjoyed many conversations with other guests in the mornings. Tram 17 was a short walk away, and we used it often to get to the train station for day trips and other excursions around the area. The Hirschgarten was a short walk down the block from the hotel. We ate at its restaurant and enjoyed the beer garden and the cool autumn weather. We will definitely stay there again. There are plans to put in an elevator during the next year for those who have trouble with stairs.

We stayed at the Hotel Kriemhild for the 2nd time in four years. This time we had a group of 9 total guests visiting for Oktoberfest. Eric and his family were fantastic hosts! When visiting make sure to walk down the street to the comfortable Bier Garten for some tasty brew!

We are four travelers from the USA traveling together. The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful during the planning process and answered many questions we had. We reserved a single room for four people and were not disappointed. The room was spacious and clean with a small Refrigerater. We arrived about 7 AM, several hours before checkin and the staff took us in, stored our bags, fed us breakfast, and gave us directions and guidance on how to get around the local area and to the Opening day festivities of Octoberfest. When we returned several hours later, they had moved our bags in our rooms and we were ready to relax. Rates were among the most reasonable and the location was ideal. Far enough away from the busy downtown area, but only 200 meters from a tram stop and five minutes from a train station. With a fabulous biergarten at the end of the street, (about 500 meters), we were close to everything. I can highly recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a good, clean, reasonably priced hotel far enough away fromt he busy traffic, but close enough to be accessible.. A short tram ride of about 8 to 10 minutes will put you in the heart of Munich.. Bill Galloway
