Stayed in a single room which was clean and plenty of space.
Rooms were cleaned each day, all staff very friendly.
Nice breakfast.
Location Fantastic for eating places and PLACES TO DRINK!!!.
Opposite a park.
My first trip to Frankfurt and really enjoyed the place but would stay either at this Hotel or in the area again as much better than the area around the main Railway station!

This was a great find in Frankfurt. It is 3 blocks from the Pedestrian Bridge to Alstadt. It sits accross the street from a park, among many restaurants, bars, and shops. It is a short walk to the S line to go anywhere.

The rooms are small, neat, clean and plain. The breakfast buffet is standard but served in the restaurant next door - on linens with wine glasses for water and juice!. Very nice.

It has a lift, location and reasonable - all I ask for in a hotel.

Frankfurt is expensive. I think this hotel is a good option. It's in the applewine district, so there are lots of great restaurants nearby. Surprisingly, the museum area is also easily reachable on foot. Even the historic downtown we walked to crossing a nice pedestrian bridge. The subway and streetcar stops are nearby and we used them frequently to navigate around downtown and travel to the train station. Due to the number of bags we had, a taxi was the best option for travel to the airport.

The hotel is dated but certainly adequate. The surprise for us was the park across the street which had a playground. This was a great break for our seven year old. Be sure to ask for a park facing room.

Hotel Maingu is a simple and clean hotel in the older part of Frankfurt. The location is great for walking to the central part of the city. We had two rooms there at the beginning of September--one for two people and one for three. Both were small, simple and clean. I'm not sure I would want to stay here if I were spending a lot of time in the room, but it was entirely adequate for the one night stopover we had. The included breakfast was great, and the staff helpful. Room prices were quite modest for Europe, making the hotel a bargain find at a time when the dollar is weak.
