I stayed several times at this property, as all NH hotels it is hard to fault ...

PROS:
- excellent, pleasant room, large, well equipped, excellent bedding, A/C working properly
- bathroom clean, well equipped, nothing missing
- excellent buffet breakfast, a great variety of products of equally good quality
- easy to find
- good underground parking
- staff very helpful and nice
- bar not bad at all

CONS:
- it is really far from the centre and the activity ... this is the only negative I can find

This was our third stay at the Aranzazu and we were worried it would have trouble living up to the previous 2 stays we have had but thankfully it did.

Although a short walk (along a beautiful prominade) from the old town....for us it is a welcome way to walk off all the pinxtos we have eaten there are several great places to eat nearby and a supermarket opposite. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away.

Large well proportioned rooms which are always clean and staff are always friendly. Hotel is simply good value for money with great breakfasts and parking underneath.

We only stayed one night but will remember the experience and look forward to a repeat.
We were very surprised by the hotel that met us, as the pictures you see on the websites do not reflect its size and quality. It is a slick professionally run hotel with excellent facilities and service. Very helpful staff who spoke english. The rooms were spacious and immaculate with everything you could want. The location is set in modern surroundings within walking distance of La Concha beach (chilly in April) but if you haven't visited San Sebastian before, the action in terms of eating is the other side of town in the old quarter. Easy to get to though.
On this trip, we stayed in numerous hotels but this ranked as the best alongside the 4* hotel in Paris.

we have been in Donosti for two days. Arriving by the 27th december from Barcelona (by plane to Bilbao and then by bus to Donosti, just 1 hour) we reached the hotel. From bus main station (near hotel Amara Plaza) you get another bus (24 or 27) to the hotel which is placed in a new neighbourghood named Antiguo. The hotel is beautiful, very new, flat TV in the rooms, comfortable beds and all the details you always find in NH branch (always a secure election). Very friendly staff and nice stay. From the hotel in 5 minutes you arrive to Ondarreta beach. There starts the amazing walk along "Playa de la Concha" till the center of the city (20-25 minutes walking) but if you prefer not to walk you can take 5 or 25 bus. I recommend this hotel, nice rooms, nice staff and a pleasant stay.
