There were five of us in the group and was a bit anxious when we arrived because of some of the reviews on the hotel. The hotel room was excellent - large and spacious with modern theme. Breakfast was excellent - wide variety of items both western and mediterranean. Location was right in the middle of the city - close to Las Ramblas and shopping areas. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous.

Suggest that you eat at Cellar Tapas (5 minutes from hotel) recommended by the hotel and with hotel priviliges you will get a free drink at the restaurant.

Best deal is to book a city tour for 19 euro one day or 22 euro for two days and you can get off and on as many times as you wish.

How can they call themselves a 4 star hotel. The h10 group who own this hotel should be ashamed of themselves. I have read the reviews both good and bad, but please dont waste your money on this hotel. people in previous reviews have mentioned the paper thin walls and noise, the very small rooms etc. This is all so true, you will be subjected to excessive noise at all times of the day and night. The rooms are dirty and not cleaned properly. The management are never seen and this shows in the way staff conduct themselves, they are mostly polite but it is plain to see they have no direction from a management team in conducting their jobs properly and this can be seen from front desk to the kitchens to cleaning of the rooms.
At breakfast one morning the poor chap sitting on the opposite table had a tablespoon of crushed glass in his his breakfast cereal the staff really could not of cared less. This hotel is truly appalling, please do not pay good money and subject yourself or your loved ones to such a shameful place.

The location of this hotel is excellent, the breakfast was good and the staff were polite. However, our room was tiny - not enough room for two people to pass. It felt very claustrophobic and although we had only a small amount of luggage, we struggled to find places to put our things. On the Sunday morning there was no hot water for a shower and we had to wait until later in the day. Also, on the Sunday when we returned at three o'clock in the afternoon to have a shower, the room had not been serviced. I feel that this hotel should not be described as 4 star.

The hotel looks great and has the feel of a 4 star when you enter the lobby. Clean and modern looking.....but the good stuff ends here.
We had a myriad of plumbing issues in our room, the shower was leaking like crazy, took them 2 days to fix. The toilet would stop filling.....took them 1 day to fix. On the 3rd day the bathroom roof started leaking....not sure if this was a one off, but it seemed to us like the hotel was only a 3 start quality not 4.
Also, way too expensive for the value. The walls were very very thin.....and we are sound sleepers, but u could hear each time any rooms opened, etc, and the train which is not too close shook the whole place when it passed by.
Overall, the stay was okay, we just expected a lot more for the money we paid.
The breakfast in the basement was alright, but the service was very prude.
