We selected the hotel merely because of its location (close to Firona airport), but found it ok for the stay of a couple of days. One of the receptionists is quite uninterested in his guests, and we had the pleasure to interupt his daily job of looking uninterested, so not really a warm welcome. The hotel needs refurbishing a bit, is a bit old fashioned but comfortable enough for the price we paid. Would consider to come back another time I might be in the area

We booked this hotel online for a trip around Catalunya. Although not in the centre of Girona, there is a fairly regular and cheap bus into town although finding a taxi back late at night can be a troublesome affair.

If you want to explore the area the location is very good, close to a number of major roads.

If you stay there I highly recommend the restaurant, very high standard cuisine and on the menu del dia, reasonably priced. The pool is nice with plenty of amenities around it.

The room was also good, big and well furnished.

My only major gripe is with the breakfast. The price was not posted ANYWHERE and when we saw the breakfast room full we assumed it must have been included. In comparison the prices for the restaurant were well posted and transparent.

The breakfast was standard contintenal fayre. On checkout we were presented for the bill, breakfast was €9 each per day!! €36 euro on rolls and coffee from a machine.

Arrived to hotel and was greeted by a rude,ignorant man on desk who slammed keys at us and passports back at us. Room and corridors were old,filthy and dark. It was like a haunted house to stay in. Smell of old dirty house througout,a disgusting place to stay and restaaurant had no musis and a poor menu. No bar in hotel and no satellite tv. A very badly stocked mini bar and definitely mo pipped music as advertised on hotel website. Not reccomend it.

Firstly let me say that the major strength of this hotel is its location for those flying Ryanair or Easyjet to Girona airport. It is a 15 Euro taxi ride from the airport, around 15 minutes, and then only 4km into the town with buses and trains running regularly from Fornells into Girona itself, so if you are flying into Girona late then this hotel is an ideal stop off for tourists planning to see Girona and Barcelona.

That said, the hotel is still very nice and very good value for money. The staff are very helpful and friendly, although don't speak any English so brush up on your Catalunyan before you go out there, and whilst a little old fashioned in its appearance the hotel is still well presented and clean. The room had a huge bathroom with a small and archaic but powerful shower, and the room was quite large and had plenty of storage space as well as a safe and satellite TV.

Breakfast was very good value for money, and the hot chorizo was the best on offer throughout the entire weekend in Catalunya. The hotel also has a pool which unfortunately we did not get to use.

Overall, a nice stop off for a weekend in Barcelona but a little too out of the way to make it a hotel worth spending any longer than a couple of nights in.
