We went to the Hotel Bellevue in July 2005. We were told it was a 3* all inc, which I wouldn't argue with.
For the first half of our week's holiday, it was absolutely gorgeous. Admitedly, we were probably the youngest people there - 24 and 28 - but there was a really nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were a little basic, with no air con - which would've been much appreciated! But we had a wonderful view from our balcony looking out onto the port, and the food was yummy and fairly varied. There was enough spots around the pool for everyone and all was well.
That was, until the chavs and asbo's to be turned up. The children were kicking the pool tables cos they found out that that way they didn't have to pay for the balls to come out. They also found it hilarious to bang wooden table tennis bats against the metal table tennis table at 12:30 at night! Meanwhile, the "adults" were off getting drunk at the free bar!
The hotel, the staff and the food were very good, and I would definately recommend the hotel OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!! I must emphasis that our holiday was brilliant until the chavs turned up!
It's situated up the top of a hill, but there is a cute little bus that you can take for 2 euros each. The village surrounding the port is quite and quaint - not for the clubbers. The sea is clean and georgous and there are daily boat trips and a weekly bizarre.
