We took a chance and what a great piece of luck to say the least...great bodywave beach below the hotel...........easy taxi into the town...great cocktails in the port next door..ideal place too stay for 2/3 days and unwind

We spent a wonderful week at the hotel Estella in Sitges, very clean hotel its out of town which is good, and right next to the beach, to far to walk to the hotel from Sitges station but plenty of taxis around will cost you between 7 and 10 euros. The surrounding harbour \ Marina area is expensive to eat out however on the plus side its out of the main town, which can be a bit on the sleazy side, we took a bus from Girona airport to the local station, and from there to Barcelona sants then a train from Barcalona sants (main station) to Sitges whole trip was about 2hrs and cost about 43euros for 4, will definately return

Stayed in the large suite situated on the top of the Hotel. Fantastic accomodation and terrace. Service in Restaurant was good as was the atmosphere in the Hotel. I have only marked this down from 5* because the reception staff could be a bit more freindly - they were efficeint enough but they should try and smile and get out from behind the desk and talk to the customers! It was like service in an old communist state!

Stayed on Sunday 2nd May and booked through Expedia who gave us a great room rate of 96 euros including fab buffet breakfast and 7% IVA tax. Take a look at the hotel website on www.hotelestela.com. We had a large clean room with king size bed and mini kitchenette and a terrace looking out over the pool. The hotel is in a quiet residential area about 15 minutes walk from the Old Town but only steps away from the very classy Port Sitges. Only problem was the usual European issue of stilletos on marble - but certainly didn't wake us.In general Sitges offers everything: Tacky burger joints; Very expensive wine bars (11 euros for a wine & a beer); Great seafood restaurants (55 euros lunch for two including salad, langostinos, pescaditos fritos, bread, wine, water, coffees); Tapas (great atmospheric bar - Tolino - especially when Barca are playing); Noisy music bars on main strip from beach (mainly gay). I would go for a couple of drinks in the Old Town but wander back to Port Sitges for some great food and restaurants.
