We have just been on a 3 day conference to the Dolce Sitges.
They are clearly used to dealing with large numbers as there were 250 of us and I didn't hear one complaint about the accommodation. There were a few complaints about the food being slightly underdone but no-one suffered that I know of so it must have been ok - mine certainly was.
The rooms were lovely and the views over the sea were nice too.
A great conference location.

We stayed in Dolce Sitges for our first night of our stay as we wanted a bit of luxury before we stayed in the more centre of the resort. At first glance it seemed quite luxurious with grand entrance etc. However, we did not get offered help with our bags to the room, which we felt was odd given it was supposed to be 5 star accomodation. And at 200 euros per night we did expect top end service. The room was well kept with nice bed and bathroom but was quite small. Also, the plasma television was not working properly as it was not getting any of the channels, so we could not watch it at all. We did complain but was told it was to late and that it would be fixed in the morning. This was too late for us as we were checking out the next day to go to the 3 star Hotel Suber. Also, the tea and coffee making facilitiy was very stingy with only one cup each. All in all, the room was adequate, but most definately not worth 200 euros per night. We got up the next morning expecting the breakfast to be out of this world, given the hotels 5 star status and the cost of breakfast of 40 euros per couple. This was the most disappointing part of the whole Dolce experience. Breakfast was a shambles. We had to wait for coffee and eventually got this after 4 requests, but not a smile in sight. The juice machine kept running out, there was no glasses, dirty tables and the food was not at all well cooked. One of us asked for poached eggs and was told quite rudely that we would have to wait at least 15 minutes. Overall, it was not up to 5 star service we expected. On checking out, we complained to the manager, especially, in relation to the breakfast experience. We were told that they would do better the next time we booked, not getting the hint that there would not be a next time. Given we had spent 40 euros on brekfast we would have expected it to be of a good standard and when it wasn't ,we did expect a full refund of this cost only. After a number of emails, we did not get offered a refund of the breakfast, only an offer of a complimentary night when we purchase our next one, even though we advised the hotel we did not ever want to return. We have left the hotel with a sour taste in our mouth as they say they are the best but do not act accordingly. The hotel does not care as long as it has your euros. The hotel is miles away from the action in Sitges, pretentious and overpriced. We spent the next 2 nights in the 3 star Hotel Subur and the breakfast experience was fantastic, although the room was a little basic, at half the cost of the Dolce it is a better option as you are in the middle of everything, the staff are excellent and you are right on the beach front. The motto of the story is stay away from the Dolce Sitges if you want good value for your money and a decent breakfast. Sitges is a beautiful place to stay with lots of character, lovely beach, and lots of places to eat and drink. We will definately return again, but not to the overpriced Dolce.

We're not the kind of people who normally frequent 5 star hotels, so we were easily impressed by the style and ease of this new hotel. Yes, its a bit souless - mostly due to its distance from the town which really does require a car - and parking proved difficult in town in the evenings.
The spa, food and hotels were a lovely way to round off our time in the country. We were just there for the weekend. For a longer stay we would need somewhere a bit more cosmopolitan and a bit more central. For a special few days though - it was nice to see how the others live!

Just back from 8 nights. Two adults and two children (14&11)

I would just like to pick out a few points I read in review's and had me a little worried.

To start off with the hotel is very easy to find, we came in by car from Barcelona, no problem.

Service and staff were excellent, no problem on arrival, our bags were brought up to the room, our car was parked in the underground car park, and the interconnecting rooms we asked for were as requested.

There was a bus service down to the beach that was very good, and yes they do cater for children (a good menu for under 12's)and the buffet bbq for the 14 year old was half price.

Drinks were available by the pool, a temp. out door bar was set up, and they were just finishing off a proper one for next season.

There is a policy of no food at the pool, which we felt is a good
thing.

Other plus points,
2 pool attendants on from 9am until 8pm.
Breakfast (available until 12.00hrs !!)
Activites everyday, pool gym (twice a day x 1hour) yoga, streching
etc... all free.

Rooms are nice, (we had one small problem, it was fixed within 10 mins.)

The hotel is clean and the staff are great.

However, on the down side :

Food is not that good, (apart from breakfast....) and is therefore
expensive for what you get, but Sitges is 3mins down the road by car, there you can find what you want.

For a new hotel, sound proofing could have been better, you can hear next door snoring and people in the corridors.

Could do with a "no mobile phone" policy by the pool.

I would class this hotel as :

5 star for service
4 star for the hotel.

So overall you could say this is a very very good 4 star hotel.

We will go back again.
