Luna Hotel Baglioni is a beautiful building in a fantastic location, however for the price I don't think the bedrooms are up to scratch. We booked a superior room and was disappointed. Very basic accommodation, ancient TV, shower made a total mess of the bathroom floor everytime it's used. We had no daylight in the room whatsoever as the windows looked out onto a terrace which had a huge tent in it blocking out any sunlight (and it was sunny every day so it was a real shame). Bed was two twin beds pushed together which moved violently in the night. Not what you expect for the money. However, the communal areas were beautiful and the maid service was excellent, staff generally were very courteous and polite, just a shame that the room was really below standard, and if that was a superior room I'd hate to see the standard deluxe!

There is nothing negative I can say about this hotel. The service...the location...the quality was all EXTREMELY superior. From the bus from the train station, all it takes to get to this treasure is a half block walk. On one end of the street there is the Grand Canal and on the other end, St. Mark's Square. St. Mark's is right in the heart of the city, so stopping by the hotel during the day to rest or freshen up was not out of the way at all. Not overly stuffy...this one is just right for the perfect stay in this beautiful city.

A real find in Venice. Accommodations, ambience and location were excellent. Most of the staff were welcoming and friendly however, the front desk staff seemed annoyed at questions or requests for directions, not very friendly. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite - magnificent room decor and a stunning view.

You simply can not get closer to the st.marcos square, only a few steps away.

Although quite expensive (we paid $370), it fullfills your expectations of a romantic hotel in venice.

Our rooms were very small, but as luxurious as it gets and the view from the balcony was wonderful (see my posted pictures).

I doubt that anyone choosing this hotel will be disappointed with either their rooms or the food and service of the restaurant and cafe.
Be aware that the check in and check out times are stricktly enforced though (14:00 and 12:00)...
