My wife and I booked for three nights. During the first night my wife had a heart attack.The receptionist was brilliant in getting medical help.I stayed for another 12 nights with the hotel responding every time to requests for an extension and also accomodating my daughter.All the staff helped me in so many ways- there was nothing they would not do for me including my laundry.For most of the time I was paying only Eu 60 per night which was amazing value- the room was very comfortable and clean and the location is excellent, even if not easy to find the first time.

Residenza Ca' San Marco is a cosy inn , completely renovated, is made up of six spacious rooms, elegantly furnished in Venetian style with extreme care in the finest detail. Very comfortable and quiet with helpful staff thhroughout, had no bother here being a few steps away from St Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge - so cebntral definately reccomend it

Just returned from a trip to Venice. Ca' San Marco is perfectly placed, about 3 and a half minutes' walk from Rialto Bridge and 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco ( and that's realistic because we are not in the "first flush of youth". Bedrooms are small, slightly old fashioned, but the bathrooms have had lots of money invested in them. Lots of hot water ! Very quiet at night. Church bells are the loudest noises in the daytime. No fuss, but staff look after you very well and are very willing to give infornation or to find out if they do not immediately know the answer. Would not hesitate to reccommend. Reports on TA had made us a little apprehensive, but we were well pleased.

I booked this hotel through VeniceBy.com based on recommendations from TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. I was a little anxious about finding it after reading the other reviews but we had to trouble getting there using the directions that the hotel sent us. The alley is tiny and easy to miss if you don't look for Foot Locker but it's a wonderful landmark. We were literally only a few minutes walk from St. Mark's and from the Rialto Bridge. It's a perfect location and it being tucked away in the alley makes for quiet nights.

We stayed in room 103, which overlooked the alley. It was tiny...a big bed with really only enough room on either side to get in (and an actual big bed...not two small ones pushed together!), a desk, a small wardrobe, and the bathroom. The bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom and was very clean. The air conditioning is included and works great. Breakfast was good and got us through easily until lunch. They had cereal, pastries, fruit, coffee and juice. Everyone that we talked to at the front desk was very helpful and spoke wonderful English.

We paid 160 Euros per night for the room. That's a bit steep for us but it's also high season in Venice and the location was well worth it. I recommend getting the vaporetto (water bus) pass when you go and also investing a few euros or dollars in a good street map of Venice. This was our first time and we had no idea how mazelike the streets were! That was fine when we wanted to explore but difficult when we were trying to find something specific.

You can't go wrong staying here...we'll definitely stay here again when we go back!
