My teenage children were keen to visit this museum so we reluctantly squeezed it into our busy schedule. What a great day out it was! The building itself is impressive but inside there are interactive activities to suit all ages and interests. We have visited many science museums but this was the best! One of the highlights was a fully equipped lab where u can don a white coat and undertake experiments. i am sure health and safety wouldn't allow that in the UK! All aspects of science are covered including a very frank section on puberty...great for teenagers. There are water and building activities for all, we all learned something new. Most of the exhibits were interactive..no boring static displays to read. We spent almost all day there exploring the four floors. At the top of the building was one of 2 cafes..a bit small and slow service. It was a cold day so we had to sit inside and it was cramped...lots of Dutch students around. The other cafe is near the entrance. Overall a good value outing..look out for discount tickets in your hotel.
