Only back a few days and still so angry with the way we were treated be the staff.
The mini bus driver was drunk while driving the bus at 4 o'clock with children in it, he would not let 2 pensioners carry a bag of shopping on the bus even though there was only 2 other people on it, loads of guests complained to the staff about the bus driver, we were ignored.
The rooms smelled of damp which is kind of expected this time of year.
Some one went into our room and stole money, the
staff were so unhelpful, after 2 days i was ready for coming home.
Would not send my worst enemy to Bayside

We ordered what we thought was a cheap and cheerful hotel, however we were all pleasantly surprised! with the cleanliness, the general house keeping, the hotel, and grounds.
The staff were nice especially ''Ricardo'' who was fantastic and helped to make our holiday, a wonderfull one and one we wont be forgetting. THANKYOU

After reading a number of negative reviews we arrived armed with details of alternative accommodation and fearing the worst.

However, we were pleasantly surprised. If booking, I would recommend going for the 1 bedroom apartments for that extra bit of space. The accommodation was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful (with the exception of the shuttle bus driver, who I think begrudged every mile of road between Bayside & Albufeira!!!! Hold on to your hats, it could be a scary ride). The food was excellent value for money and there are a few good restaurants within a 10 - 15 minute walk. If you are a fish lover, try the various fish dishes available at most eateries.
Although Bayside may be considered by some as a bit out in the sticks, this did not hamper us getting out and exploring the Algarve even though we did not have a car. Try some excursions available at reasonable prices from reception. If you have plenty of time, the local buses also go to most of the surrounding resorts. Alternatively, taxis are cheap. So what, 8 euros? you are on holiday after all! We had a good mix of getting out and about and relaxing either on the beach or by the pool - plan your days and you will have a wonderful time.

No kettle or toaster? I don't go on holiday to cook. Tell me where in the UK you can get a meal and bottle of wine for less than £8.

Friendly staff, entertainment on each evening from exotic dancers to bingo and quizz. Room cleaned each day except sundays. Covered pool, which was cool but not frozen. So overall appartment 7/10 . Location gets a big zero.1 mile at least to beach up hill. 1 mile to lovely resturant up hill other direction, resturant on site more like snacks. 10 miles to Albufeira up UP hill. The free bus seats only 8 and finishes at 4pm it has a driver with PMT.You have to wait 20 mins for his return if there is a few people already waiting. If he has to make 3 trips its more pleasent to walk and safer. Met a couple who had been three times to same appartments they love the peace and quiet , and dont mind paying lots for taxis.
