“Ok hotel”

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in September.

The rooms are very small, but it was clean and effective. I did not like the wall bed, and would definately prefere a double bed/twin beds.

Location was pretty good, right by the trainstation and walking distance to everything. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I would definately recomend this hotel for single travellers. Great for one person, but a little bit cramped for two.

Compared to other hotels with regular size rooms (and a double bed, and not bunk beds) I think it was rather overprized. However, we got a great discount so we were satisfied.

“Pretty good place to Stay”

I arrived at Stockholms central station around 11:30pm on a Tuesday night, from Copenhage with no hotel reservation. I took a walk around and saw this hotel, walked up to the counter, to find a very pleasant woman that found me a room at a very nice rate.. The rooms are small but cormftable and very clean. My room did not have a window.(see pictures) The breakfast room is very nice, I like how they furnited and decorated the place. The food was also very good, with something for everyone, even vegetarians like my self.. Some of the staff was streemely helpful and polite, while others were not as good, acting a little frustrated if you asked more than a couple of questions. They did allow me to borrow a charger for my Nokia phone, which I lost in Berlin, and also allow me to use the laundry room on the second floor at no extra charge. They had free coffe on the lobby, as well as free internet to check your email.

I spent a total of 3 nights at this place, and was very satisfied.. I occasionally heard the trains during the day, which travel under ground, under the building, but it was not a big diturbance at all. The world trade center is adjacent to this hotel or in the same structure, and one night I was woken up to what sounded like 2 tons of something being droped on the floor, not sure if it was above me or next door.. I found out later that they were dropping stuff off for a show, or something like that. The noise stoped with in 10 minutes.

You will mostly find business types here during the week, but on weekends you will see all diferent kinds of tourist..

The location is great for getting to the station, and getting to know the city..

“A Real Bargain in an Expensive City”

Comfort Hotel Stockholm

This hotel often has room deals and I paid for two nights and got a third free via hotels.com. A great bargain it turned out to be. The reasonably central location means you can walk everywhere if your fitness is at least average. I walked to the old town in the day and Stureplan for the nightlife. Pay the little extra for the window in your room unless you're going in the winter when there's no sun. Not much of a view but light is good for keeping your --. Yes rooms are small and the corridor is the longest I have ever seen, but the latter means you're away from the elevator and other guests so it's quiet at night if you ask for a room at the far end. Breakfast really very good for Scandinavia. Hot and cold choices. Free internet in lobby. 100 metres from airport buses so no rip-off taxi needs to be taken to get to your hotel. For the price - impressive.

“Small but convenient”

Comfort Hotel Stockholm

Aug 12, 2006
5/5 found this review helpful

The room was adequate size for one person, but would be very cramped for two. The entire space was maybe 2.3m x 3.3m - which includes the bathroom. If one is looking for luxury and pampering, this isn't the place for you. However, if you are looking for a convenient location, clean surroundings, free wireless access, an excellent breakfast and pleasant staff, this hotel fits the bill. I would definitely stay here again (if traveling solo). For US travelers, make sure you bring an adaptor. The hotel doesn't carry them, and I wound up walking a good ways and spending a small fortune to get one.

“Great hotel in a central location”

Comfort Hotel Stockholm

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights. I cannot fault any part of our stay here. We arrived early and went to the hotel to see if we could check in early. This was no problem and we were checked in, given our keys and allowed to go straight to our room. The member of staff on reception was helpful and friendly.

I'd booked the room knowing that the rooms were small and there was no window and was slightly worried about how small the room would be. Having no window was not a problem as there was a screen with a light behind it by the bed which gave an impression of a window. The room was compact but there was plenty of room to put our stuff.

The hotel room had one bed and a fold down bed. After the first night we both slept together on the bottom bed with no problem.

The hotel had lots of open sitting areas where you could relax if you found the room too small. Reception had free tea, coffee, water and biscuits that you could help yourself to 24 hours a day.

Breakfast was help yourself and was the best I've ever had in a hotel. There was a choice of breads, cheese, pate, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, eggs, pickles as well as local food. Breakfast was from 6.30am to 9.30am which meant we could have breakfast on our last day when we had a 7.20am coach to the airport to catch.

The staff were very helpful. We asked for an iron and were given an iron and mini ironing board.

The location was central, right next to the train and bus station and with easy access to the town and within walking distance of the old town and the local buses.

I would stay at the hotel again as it was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location.
