Our New Years Day visit to Skansen was perfect. It was resonably quiet, just a few families pulling kiddies along on their sledges. The snow made viewing the buildings and the animals just perfect. Shame the bears were asleep in their cosy caves. The little piggies were really cute. Rudolf and his friends were there but they were resting in the stable - busy time of year for them! Not all the buildings were open, but all the ones we went inside were most interesting. The restuarant was great we didn't get there until quite late but the food was good and resonably priced. The views from Skansen are fab. The cost of entry was imo very good value, as were the gifts I purchased in the gift shop. The christmas lights at the main entrance were lovely.
The fireworks from Skansen on New Years Eve were great - watched from another island
