Friendly and helpful staff with personal attention from the owner. We stayed from 29th April to 3rd May 2005. Had a delightful room with double bed, slightly firm for our taste, restrained decor on ground floor opening onto lush garden. Other rooms we looked in were all individually furnished and decorated. Bathroom black end white tiled, well fitted, no bidet but multijet shower. Pleasant large rear garden with terrace for drinks. Dining room spacious and elegantly decorated, opens up to terrace for al fresco eating. Chef prepares excellent local dishes but short wine list. Breakfast usual buffet with boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, cereals, jams, french baguettes and croisants etc.
Owner is WW1 buff and dug up tank from first ever tank battle, has model in bar and supplies guide and history of locality. Very informative on museums, art galleries and places to visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend for short break or on route. Moderately prices and excellent value.
