We originally planned to stay at another hotel in Samoens, but chose the Neige et Roc upon arriving in town. It's a lovely place, with bright, sunny rooms including balconies and both indoor and outdoor pools. But what sets it apart is the quality of its food, especially its dinners.
We were on half-board, which included a large breakfast buffet as well as the five-course dinners. But the dinners were exceptional, including two starters each evening and a large cheese trolley after the main course. Dishes were imaginative and carefully prepared, and the presentation was impressive. The family/staff was friendly, and welcomed English speakers. It would be a severe mistake to take a room at the Neige et Roc and eat somewhere else in town.
