We booked the hotel directly and decided to opt for the most expensive room, one of the tower rooms. The entire hotel, originally built in the 1200s, is incredibly charming. Although very old, the inside of the hotel has been extensively modernized and very tastefully decorated. Our room was extremely comfortable, with a very spacious bathroom. The tower part of the room added a nice sitting area to the space. We were able to look out on the cobblestone streets and other unique buildings in the area. Parking was an extra 6 Euros in a garage a few minutes from the hotel. We had breakfast in the hotel's nicely decorated diningroom and it was varied and plentiful. For visitors to this area, I would highly recommend this hotel. It was quite moderately priced and I can't think of any ways that it could be improved.
Meersburg is a cute town to explore. Lots of historic sites (including the castle), shops, and restaurants, all set in a historic setting on the Bodensee.
