Hotel had great beds, typical of Marriotts worldwide. Room service was pretty good; bathrooms were great. Shuttle service is subcontracted and was expensive Euro 10 per person, and was dirty and inefficient on the arrival, though departure was better.

THE PROBLEM:
The train from Munich to Freising was about 45 mins and then the walk from the station to the hotel was about 15 mins. Not pleasurable if your only means of transportation is your two feet and the public transportation system.

THE HOTEL ITSELF:
The hotel had great accommodations because they were what you would expect back here in the States and that was enjoyable, as I had been away from the States for 6 months at that time. The staff was nice and we enjoyed use of the gym and sauna facilities. My favorite part was the bathrooms because they had a big bathtub, which was a luxury to me at the time.

OVERALL:
If you have a rental car, go for it! If you're sans car, find somewhere more central to where you want to be most of the time.

Stayed two nights while visiting Freising beer festival. Check in smooth and friendly, all relevant hotel info given in a very pleasant manner.
Room was spacious, well equipped and bed very, very comfortable. Bathroom immaculate with good size bath and thermostatic controlled shower.
Breakfast was a treat, anything you could reasonably wish for, eggs cooked to order. Staff were efficient and most welcoming, a nice change from many grumpy dining staff I have encountered around Europe.
Bar service good and quite reasonably priced.
Hotel is well placed for the town centre 5/6 minute walk to town square. 10 minute walk to station for trains direct to Munich centre.
Do visit the world's oldest brewery, well worth the walk up the hill. Meals there are excellent.

We stayed the night before flying out. Great room and super bar snacks. Good front desk service. Location was somewhat difficult to find.
