Do not believe what you have read before, apart from the setting which was superb hotel and facilities were brilliant.

Tom and his team were available for assistance at any time , food was good and nothing was too much trouble.

Pool was small but very welcome at the end of the day.

Remember to take advantage of the tea option in your room , worth having.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone whether couples, singles or families.

I stayed with a group of 10 men who ski europe each year and this year we tried Saas Fee. The hotel La Collina was a 9 out of 10 for all of the group. The staff were all from Crystal and the food they served was excellent, they would have received a 10/10 but for the breakfast. This was listed as a full english but fell far short and the time it took to serve the pathetic meal was unbelievable. I did complain to the manageress at the time and the waiting issue was quickly resolved but the full english never did live up to what a full english should be. The hotel was clean and well presented with the jacuzzi and pool in the basement along with the steam room and sauna, even though the temperature of the jacuzzi was more on the cold than hot. It did sooth the legs after a hard days skiing and I would recommend the resort and the hotel to any one who would like to visit the area. The Crystal staff were all very young and the majority were pleasant and charming with the exception of the breakfast staff who seemed to be playing cards or something in the kitchen causing much annoyance among the majority of the guests. again I raised the issue with the manageress and this was resolved pretty quickly, credit to Laura the manageress, a fantastic holiday and I would stay there again if I decided to go back to Saas Fee.

I stayed at Hotel Collina with my familly during the first week of August. I must say we had some concerns based on a previous review of this hotel - but I am pleased to say were pleasantly surprised.
The hotel was clean - our room (for two) was spacious (with a bathroom not just a shower) - sure the decor was a little old fashioned but it had a nice warm friendly feel to it .
The food was very good - not too much but very well prepared and tasted excellent - good choice too - with a veggie, fish and meat selection every day.
The staff - all youngsters to me (I'm 51) were very friendly and helpful and provided a very good service.
Everybody else staying at the hotel that week seemed to like it too - some had also seen the previous bad review and we were at a loss to know how the prior review could have been so negative. So we, and many others can vouch for Hotel Collina as a good place to stay. Oh! and by the way Sass-Fee is great too with stunning scenery.

Booked here for a week through Crystal with my partner and we had a really great time. The staff were very friendly and we were well fed all week. The value for money that this holiday represented was awesome. We had good breakfasts, packed lunch which was good enough on long walks and free wine with the three course evening meal. The food was good and hearty and the standard of cleanliness was adeqoute. The pleasant staff really made the trip as they were always smiling and friendly. The pool, hot tub and sauna was welcomed at the end of the day. As a base for walking, and if you do not want to spend a fortune when on holiday then this place is fantastic.

There was one child who stayed the same week tas us who found loads of great activaties to do. As long as you are active and like the outdoors, then this place has something for everyone.
