This review is based on a summer holiday-booked as package through Crystal. Two couples looking for a hotel of at least reasonable standard. Jaded bedrooms with lights that you couldn't read by. Poorly equipped bathrooms with dripping shower. We were told first day that "It was the chef's night off!" No service at breakfast for tea or coffee and drink it out of the clunkiest cheapest mugs . Bread which was a french stick ? out of freezer? When there is so much beautiful bread in Switzerland. Why? The very young staff were kind and friendly but had no idea about running a hotel if, indeed, they had ever been to one. Ithink it is supposed tohave 3 or even 4 stars!

We had a great week here in April 2006. The hotel was kept spotlessly clean, the food was good and the staff were very efficient and helpful. It was certainly one of the best Crystal run hotels we have stayed at. The manager and deputy Kevin and Jodie did a good job.

Booked La Collina to go on holiday with my wife over Christmas. I did not read the reviews on this site until after booking, and must confess to being a little nervous. However, once arriving all negative thoughts disappeared. The place is tidy, cosy, warm, and with some young but extremely helpful and friendly staff. Food - simple, plentiful and tasty (including as massive Christmas dinner): I always left the dinner table feeling full. The sauna,pool, steam room and Jacuzzi areas were spotless, and with towels available for use - I used the facilities every day!
Rooms: comfortable, spacious , all with nice balconies that have fantastic views. Always loads of hot water. Satellite tv too, and even a mini fridge in our room (18).
Yes its a walk to the lifts, but it is very pretty village and a bit of window shopping and/or gluhwein breaks it up nicely!

I should not have worried about the few BAD reviews about The La Collina!! We had A great stay, Room 16 was lovely, large ,comfy ,balcony with great view and a lovely bathroom with lashings of hot water.O.K it was a little dated,but clean and serviced daily (thanks George)
A Crystal chalet, staffed by young ,friendly and helpful staff, who in fact made the holiday much more fun for all who stayed.Food plentiful and perfectly good for the budget.
A long walk (10-15 mins from the slopes) , hire and store at FELIX right by the lifts realy friendly and very helpful (hi Felix) . The walk back through the lovely village was a great way to keep the muscles moving and more importantly to sample the realy excellent apre-ski. I can reccomend the apple strudel and hot chocolate at THE TEA SHOP. Hot wines at any of the bars along the way, realy hit the spot.
